AI agents are becoming a new workspace for founders.
They write code, research markets, summarize documents, and help move projects forward. Increasingly, founders are not just asking agents for information — they are asking agents to take action.
Today, OtoCo is introducing OtoCo MCP so AI agents can connect directly to OtoCo and help founders form and manage US entities onchain.
With OtoCo MCP, agents like Cursor, Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Grok, and other MCP-compatible platforms can interact with OtoCo through a structured, permissioned interface. That means your agent can help you move from an idea or project to an actual company workflow — without leaving the tools where you already build.

What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol.
It is an open protocol that lets AI applications connect to external tools and services. Instead of an agent only answering questions from its training data or pasted context, MCP lets it access approved tools in a structured way.
For founders, that matters because company formation and management are workflows. They involve steps, required information, documents, decisions, and sometimes payments. MCP gives AI agents a way to work with those workflows directly — while keeping important actions gated and reviewable.
OtoCo MCP brings that interface to entity formation and management. Prefer machine-readable docs? Start with otoco.io/mcp.md.

What OtoCo MCP lets agents do
OtoCo lets founders form and manage US entities, including LLCs, onchain.
With MCP, your agent can help you interact with OtoCo from inside your agentic platform. Depending on the workflow, you can ask your agent to help with actions like:
- Starting a new entity formation flow
- Preparing required information for a new company
- Comparing Instant and Standalone formation paths
- Reviewing available next steps
- Managing entity details and company workflows
- Trying tools in the API playground
The goal is simple: reduce the distance between building a project and setting up the company around it. Explore the product surface at otoco.io/developers.
Confirmation-gated paid actions
Entity formation can involve paid actions.
OtoCo MCP is designed so paid actions are confirmation-gated. Your agent can help prepare an action, explain what is needed, and guide you through the flow — but charges require your confirmation before they go through.
This keeps the agent useful without removing founder control.
Instant vs Standalone formation
OtoCo supports different formation paths, including Instant and Standalone formation.
With OtoCo MCP, your agent can help you understand the available path, prepare the required details, and keep the process moving — so you are not bouncing between chat and a dozen browser tabs just to get the company set up.
How to connect your AI agent to OtoCo
To connect your agent, you need an OtoCo API key.
- Open OtoCo DashPanel → Developer
- Create an API key beginning with
otoco_sk_(see MCP API keys) - Add the OtoCo MCP server to your agentic platform using the setup guide

Once connected, you can ask your agent to help with OtoCo workflows directly. Example prompts:
- “Help me start a new LLC formation with OtoCo.”
- “Show me the next steps for forming and managing my entity through OtoCo.”
- “Read https://otoco.io/mcp.md and connect the OtoCo MCP server.”
Why this matters for founders
Founders already use AI agents to build faster.
But building a product is only one part of starting a company. There is also the legal and operational container around the project: forming an entity, managing company details, keeping track of documents, and knowing what step comes next.
OtoCo MCP makes those workflows accessible from the same AI environments founders already use.
Entity formation may have legal and tax implications. Review important details before confirming paid actions.
